Sean Wilson began his training and wrestling in 1989 and continued through his enlistment in the United States Navy. Stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, Sean later moved to Virginia Beach. There he would meet a man who would change and inspire him to be apart of something great. His name was Gustavo Machado, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor from the Gracie Barra Academy in Rio De Janeiro.

Sean trained six days a week with Gustavo. Due to Gustavos incredible ability to teach and pass on his invaluable knowledge, he was successful at winning many tournaments. On June 14, 2004, Sean became the first black belt under Gustavo Machado in Gustavo's twelve years of teaching.

Sean assisted Gustavo at his academy in Virginia Beach while also heading up the William and Mary Jiu-Jitsu club at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. With Gustavo's guidance, Sean has also had the opportunity to work with law enforcement, Coast Guard, Navy SEALs and other special-forces groups. He now intends to share his knowledge and philosophy of jiu-jitsu with his friends and students in southwest Florida, along with the benefits of healthy lifestyle choices.
